Keen fly-fisher Runar Nikolaisen from Løten, gave legendary river Vangrøfta a visit earlier this June – and Vangrøfta delivered. When the big may fly Danica hatches, you can get some memorable fishing experiences. Vangrøfta fishes well on high water level, and the river shrinks fast in warmer and dryer periods. This however has not been an issue this season. By the looks of it we will have great fishing throughout July and August. The river has licenses available about every day, and there is no reason to pass it up. Be aware the river can rise quickly in heavy rain and the fishing often gets poor for  a day or two.

Down stream of Brufossen in Vangrøfta river it is Os og Erlia fishing administration who governs the fishing. There is also a fly fishing zone here but no limits on licenses. You can also fish the mighty Glomma river with  the license from Os og Erlia fishing administration med. The lower parts of Vangrøfta can also offer good fishing for Grayling and Trout.
