Fresh from Fishspot week 28

We are in a period of the season where the fishing is either fantastic or at the other end of the scale, all depending on what water you are on. Some places are struggeling with low waters and high temperatures, while other places are at peak condition. It has been a summer with days of rain, vind, sun and calm weather. This is the latest report and pictures.

In Selvsvollene in Gudbranddalslågen river the fishing is still very good with periods of hatching several times a day. Good conditions with regards to water level and temperature. If you are in the area and would like something different, the mountain waters still have good hatching and fishing with the big lake mayfly, the Vulgata, still going.

In the Rena river the conditons are good, but the fishing is said to be tricky. However the fishing is always tricky in this river so those news should not put you down. The hatching is spars but OK in the evening with several species of mayfly, and closer to midnight the caddis are coming off the water.
