Estuary Lodge – The old smithy at Lars Øians farm is totally renovated and remade into a great summer house right on the banks of the Glomma river.

The Estuary Lodge was a smithy with dirt floor, that has now been restored to a modern and rustic summerhouse with a comfortable style of interior. The summerhouse is a part of an active farm with animals and several historical buildings, which creates a special frame for a rich and exciting holiday. Here there are room for six persons. The house have everything you need for your stay with three bedrooms, kitchen, a winter garden, two baths, a fireplace, a sauna and a living room. You have access to wifi and the possibility to wash clothes. The accommodation is based on self catering.

Picture late summer nights with almost perpetual light, sitting on the porch with a tall glass, while scouting for rising fish. Or spending time at the fireplace with a mug of coffee after a long day on the river. If you want to experience something other than fishing there are several places one can go with relatively short travel distance. One can visit traditional active mountain farm houses called “sæter” where one also can stay. The mining town Røros is on the UNESCO world heritage list and well worth a visit.
