It’s not everyIday you see a grayling of this magnitude. Hein van Aar caught this fine example of a grayling  a few days ago, Hein has more experience than most when it comes to grayling. Hein is the river keeper at Kvennan Fly Fishing on the Glomma. A few days ago he was fishing in 20 degree weather on a wind still day, and found a massive grayling feasting on heather flies (bibio). The fish took and he managed to land it, but Hein is tight lipped on where exactly this fish came from. What we do know is that it was caught in a part of the Glomma river system and within the Fishspot area.

59 cm and at least 2 kilogram!

Vestsjøberget Fly Fishing was visited by “The French Dream Team” in fly fishing, and over their three day visit they had such a good experience that they will certainly be coming back next year.

PG is the president of the fly fishing club in Bourgogne. JGR is the junior coach for two youth who have taken the world championship in Spain. DC, the secretary in the French fly fishing club is a two time French champion in fly tying.
