It is once again august, which means prime time on both Renaelva and Gudbrandsdalslågen, as well as many other places. This time of year is is all about swimming pupa at night as well as excellent mayfly hatches during the day. The days ahead of us are considered by many to be the best time of the year for targeting large trout and grayling. Small cream/olive mayflies in size 16-18 can be very effective during the day throughout august and september.
