Olav and “Joker” in Vangrøfta river
Avid fly fisherman, Mr. Olav, can´t seem to get enough of the Vangrøfta river. Shortly after his last trip to his beloved river, when he was there with his mates, he decidfed to go back. The only problem was the fact that his mates had spent all their fishing privileges on said trip. The answer was, of course, his new fishing bag sponsor “Joker”. For those who are not familiar with rural Norway grocery stores, Joker is just that – a grocery store. And when you are sporting quality gear like this, you better stick to your guns and deliver. Olav and Joker well accommodated in the cabin. The first night was spent contemplating the content of the fly box and the Joker bag for the next days fishing.
Before the fishing could commence, a mandatory stop at Joker headquarter in Dalsbygda, had to be made
Finally, the one man band together with the best technology on the market arrived at the river bank. Fishing, or more exact the search for fish, could start.
Joker and Olav developed a strange but profound relationship as they spent their time looking for rising fish.
Finally rising fish. Here the choice of imitation was discussed – Olav wanted to go dry, but Joker has set his mind on a hatching insect.
Together Olav and Joker managed to net this great looking Vangrøfta trout. Here Joker is posing with his river bounty.
The trout are put back rather than being bagged.
