A visit to Kvennan Fly Fishing
André Brun and Elisabeth Eriksen visited Kvennan Fly Fishing for a few days last week. A beautiful and varied fly fishing zone of 15 kilometers in river Glomma, downstream of Tolga. This river stretch holds some trout, but it is the numerous grayling that dominates here. There has been little insects and slow fishing in week 30, but one can expect a new peak with insects and rising fish in August / September for those who want to try their luck and to experience this place.

Kvennan Camping is smack in the middle of the fly fishing zone, and is the oldest camp in fly fishing area.
Kvennan Camping has cabins very close to the river, which is very attractive for fly fishers. In addition, there are several cabins scattered in the area. The camp has sanitary facilities, including showers, toilets and washing facilities.

Kvennan Fly Fishing offers a variety of fishing, with everything from deep pools at the waterfall to fine rapids and calm stretches.
Grayling is the most numerous here.

Long and fine river stretches with lot’s of space make it possible to explore the river on one’s own.
