The Fishspot photo contest 2016

I big thank you to everybody that contributed to the photo contest. We have had a very good number of pictures submitted and the job of picking out the right image have been hard. We want to point out that we more than anything was looking for the subjective criteria "the Fishspot feeling", not the technical side of it.

A big thank you to everybody that contributed to the photo contest. We have had a very good number of pictures submitted, and the job of picking out the right image have been hard. We want to point out that we more than anything was looking for the subjective criteria “the Fishspot feeling”, not the technical side of it.

The pleasure of fishing and the nature experience
After a few rounds looking at photos we decided to divide the price in two. One for best picture (8000 nok worth of fishing gear), and one for the “true joy of fishing” (2000 nok worth of fishing gear). This picture is taken by photographer and fly fisher, Brant Fageraas. This is a very nice BW scene from the Rena river.

The pure joy of fishing
This picture by Ole Sylte Heggset is most likely taken with a phone, but it radiates pure fishing joy, and takes most of us back to how fishing started, and what is really all about. Congrats with a fishing gear price worth 2000 nok at SkittFiske.no

All submittet pictures wille be posted on out Instagram @fishspot.no Keep the pics coming if you want them there.

Here are some of the other pics we liked

This is a truly good and very difficult picture taken by Kjell S. Rakkenes – a mayfly on the water film with ths shallow depth of field is highly technical.
