Rack up your rods. Reports on fish rising to rhodani in zone 5 in Lågen River.

We are not talking crazy hatching here, but this is the time we normally start seeing some sails on the water. The Selsvollene fly-fishing zone is a slow flowing clear part of the Gudbrandsdalslågen river, just north of Otta. The stretch is well known in the fly-fishing community, and has newly been turned into a fly-fishing only zone.

This is a recent picture(above), but as you can see on the picture further down, the river clears up, running slow and snakelike through the lush banks.
The stretch` total length is 5 km. You will catch both grayling and trout, with grayling over 40 cm. You can easily wade the river, but be careful of deceivingly deep pars. Later in the summer you will find the river gin clear.
