River Mistra opened for fishing on May 21st and is for many fishermen a river on their bucket list for the upcomming summer. Mistra is known for its large trout that migrates up from Lake Storsjøen. And as the summer now is closing in, who does not dream of cathing a realy good trout? For the local fisherman Inge Rønning, Mistra delivered immediately!

Inge Rønning did well on the opening day with a 3,7 kg trout in Mistra. As you can see in the picture, the condition of this trout is impecable.

Kongsvinger Hunting and Fishing accosiation reopened the fishing at Vinger Finnskog on May 17th, after a short period with cultivation of their fish stock. The first few days after the opening, however, was characterized by large amounts of spruce pollen which probably made fishing somewhat slow. Kongsvinger JFF emphasizes that they have fishing opportunities for everyone, regardless of whether you are fishing with woorm or fly. However, we’ve resived reports that the trout are now feeding on both midge and the mayfly Leptophlebia Vespertina.
