The Åmot River Association, which manages the fishery in Renaelva, closes the river for all fishing due to high water temperatures. The decision applyes from Wednesday, July 25th!

The message from The Åmot River Association is as follows:

“Today the water flow across Storsjø dam is 12.2 m3 / s. The specified water temperature is 21 degrees. Water temperatures measured today at locations:
Hengebrua (the suspension bridge): 17.6
Raudstrømmen: 17.8
Deset Bridge: 16.8
Rød Bridge: 20.5
Upstream outlet of Southern Osa river: 19.3
Downstream Løpet dam: 19.3
Heien: 21.2

The water temperature is now so high that fishing in Søndre Rena closes from Wednesday 25/7 at 00:01.
We ask for understanding that this is done for the sake of the fish, and at the same time deplores the disadvantages that this entails for the fishermen.
