Try fishing for pike in lake Selbusjøen. Studies has show how pike benefits from the environment the lake offers its inhabitants. Due to very suitable spawning areas and an abundace og available foods, the pike population shows enormous growth and high average weight. In fact, there is evidence of growth of 10-14 cm per year.

Pike up to 11 kg is not uncommon, thus fishing for pike has become very popular for fishermen visiting lake Selbusjøen. Recommended areas for pike fishing is found in areas near Skærodden and Flønes, at Tømra and Ålsbruket, Eidemsvika and Vikvarvet. The highest denisty of pike is found in the western and eastern part of the lake, but it you may also catch pike where there are no typical pike habitats.
