Romenstad Hytter (cabins) offers rental cabins with varying standards in distinctive surroundings. Located centrally to many attractive fishing rivers in Rendalen, including Unsetåa, Mistra, Sølna, Rena Nord, and Glomma. The cabin was awarded “Olavsrosa” a Norwegian distinction of quality and culture.

Romenstad offers accommodations in an evocative and tradition rich house on the farm, and at the Søvollen summer farm. This is a thriving business where you can get up close and personal with the animals on the farm. Here it is possible to rent a canoe and experience nature first hand via a network of slow rolling rivers and mountain lakes.

At the Søvollen summer farm you will find a café that is open every Sunday in July, and the opportunity to be guide through a reconstructed fish trap at 1:00 pm. Otherwise it is possible to order food by appointment.

Directions

From the south follow E6 from Oslo to Kolomoen, roughly 102 km. Take RV3 towards Elverum for 31 km. Continue on RV3 in the direction of Tynset towards Koppang (roughly 90 km). Turn towards Rendalen on RV30, for roughly 53km towards Elvål. Turn towards Unset (5km). The farm lies 200 meters uphill from Unset Grendehus.
