Mefurua – A hidden gem lying at the foot of the might mountain formation Sølen in Rendalen. The atmosphere and location of Mefurua gives you a true taste of the wilderness. And with lake Sølensjøen only a few meters from the doorstep you’ll find everything you need here for an unforgettable fishing vacation.

Mefurua is the only state protected nature area in Rendalen Municipality, and an eldorado for kayakers, canoers, hikers, and anglers. Here you will find lakes, mountains, streams, and plateaus. Everything is laid out for paddling on lake Solensjøen, hiking the Sølenmassive, or a visit to Fiskevollen, Norway’s largest inland fishing village.

At Mefuruaer there are 4 cabins available for rental.

The cabins are equipped with a woodstove, a gas stove for cooking, and there are 2-3 beds per cabin. The renter needs to bring their own bedsheets or sleeping bags.

At Mefurua you also find a special beach where there are 3 motorboats and 2 canoes available for daily rental.

At Sølensjøen and the Sølen watershed anyone can fish with a rod and reel. It is also possible to buy a fishing license for fishing with a net or a planerboard in the densely populated waters of Sølensjøen.
