New fly-fishing zone in Kvennan (Glomma)
We are closing in on the season, and Kvennan, legendary for its abundant and huge grayling, are getting a new addition to their fly-fishing zone. With Eidsfossen added, the fly-fishing zone is bigger and more complete.
The fishing kicks off June 1st
If you purchase your one week license before that time, you will get a discount. The license is also valid in the Tolga and Tynset zones. There is a limit on the number of licenses to keep the pressure on the river low. The fishery is properly managed and there is a good chance you will find the grayling of your life.
Even though we urge you to release your fish, you can bring a fish for the table every 24 hours, as long as it is not under 14 inches, and not above 16 inches. Barbless or pinched hooks only.
For more information and accommodation go to Kvennan.com, or if you have other arrangements visit Fishspot.no for license and other options.
As you can tell, the fish in Kvennan and Glomma all together, can get massive. This dark specimen was caught by Kvennan riverkeeper Hein Van Aar.
