Fishspot’s very own Jan Lillestu, from Engerdal, has been out staying busy with his fishing rod and camera. Midges are typically the first insects to hatch following ice off. They aren’t very big, but what they lack in size they make up for in pure volume. On a calm night not too long ago Jan was out enjoying himself on a little lake in Engerdal, and he found plenty of midge and plenty of rising fish. The fishing season is officially on in Engerdal.
