Fishing for up to 2 rods on 3 separate beats on Lakselva. The day is split into 5 hours of fishing on 3 separate beats. The specific beats and times are described under each individual license.

Detailed Description

This fishing license includes fishing on three private beats in zone 1 and zone 2 on Lakselva. Anglers have 5 hours of fishing on each beat. The fishing begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 2:00 am. There is a one-hour break in between rotation of beats. The beats are allowed to rest from 2:00 AM to the next morning. The license allows for up to two rods (anglers) per license. Here you will have the opportunity to fish on your own private beat. Some of the beats may have anglers on the far bank. All of the beats are ideal for fly-fishing.

NOTE: The specific beats included, and the timetable for rotation, are described under each individual license (look at the specific licenses).

Skjørtenes North:

Skjørtenes North lies roughly in the middle of zone 1. The Skjørtenes North beat consists of one relatively deep slow flowing pool, followed by a long outer bend. Running salmon tend to stop here. This beat has a shoreline of roughly 500 meters.

Skjørtenes South:

Skjørtenes South consists of the main pool on the Skjørtenes beat. Salmon love to stop here. The beat has a shoreline of roughly 400 meters.

Niittykuru & Sammunsari:

Niittykuru is a relatively long slow flowing stretch, but the flows are ideal for fly fishing. Here both sides of the river are included in the beat, in as such as you will not see anglers on the far bank. Running salmon tend to spend some time in this pool. Here it is easy to wade and easy to cast. This stretch can be fished from both sides. Sammunsari is the name of the pool at the bottom of the beat. Downstream from the island is a well-known spot that often holds fish. In this section the salmon have a tendency to jump and show themselves. Including both sides of the river, this beat has a shoreline of over 800 meters.

Holmen Bridge:

Down stream from the Holmen Bridge is a deep pool with a tail out on the side of the river. This is not a very long stretch, but the salmon like to stop here. This beat is set up together with Skjørtenes South. This beat consists of just under 100 meters of fishable shoreline.

Gjøkenes:

This beat has a nice current for fly-fishing on the east size in zone 2. The current runs into a nice pool at the bottom of the stretch. Fishing here can be especially productive at lower water levels.

Soldatholmen East:

Soldatholmen lies in zone 2. The island or “islands” as the name implies, is a large island that splits the river in two. The river is fishable on both the east and the west side of the island. The Soldatholmen East beat allows for fishing on the east side of the island. This stretch has a shoreline of roughly 700 meters. A bridge leads to the island from Stuenes Lodge.

Soldatholmen West:

Soldatholmen lies in zone 2. The island or “islands” as the name implies, is a large island that splits the river in two. The river is fishable on both the east and the west side of the island. The Soldatholmen West beat allows for fishing on the west side of the island. This stretch has a shoreline of roughly 900 meters.
