Good fishing in waters and lakes
If you are comfortable in boat or belly-boat, Landsjøen lake is a very good alternative. Here the trout thrive on nutrient rich waters with good insect life, they are in good numbers and averaging at over one kilo. In higher grounds, above the three line in Bittemarka, you will find Mjølsjøen lake. The trout here are of good condition and fish up to 1,3 kilo is not unheard of. Kano or belly-boat are a vice bet on this lake. If you want challenge the illusive arctic char, Røsjøen lake is a nice option with a 2 km distance to roads. Arctic Char average at 0,5 kilo but fish up to 1,5 kilo is not unusual.

Preservation
Every year measures are made so that your fishing trip will be an experience to remember. Over populated waters are thinned out with nets to ensure better growth of the remaining fish. Other waters have their stocks supported by introducing juvenile fish from a local hatchery. Biotop improvements are being made in spawning grounds, together with chalking, water-tests and test-fishing.
