Sølenstua Camp and Cabins offers accommodations for anglers and travellers in the southern end of Engerdal Kommune. Here you can stay in one of the cabins, or you can bring your own caravan or motorhome.  Or, if you are after the true camping experience you can bring your own tent.

Sølenstua is known for it’s excellent hiking terrain. Throughout the surrounding area you will find a wide variety of trails through the forests and mountains leading to a wide variety of destinations. Sølenstua makes for an excellent base camp for fishing trips in Engerdal, which is well known for good fishing. Throughout Engerdal’s forests and mountains you will find roughly 800 rivers, creeks, and lakes, where you will find everything from trout to char and grayling.

 

Getting Here:

Sølenstua is located right between Oslo and Trondheim, in eastern Norway north of Trysil, in the southeastern part of Engerdal Kommune.

From the north: Follow Rv 30 from Røros to Sundmoen (Os in Østerdalen). Turn left and follow Rv 28 and 26, Kopparleden, over Narbuvoll to Isterfossen. Turn right and follow Fv 217, Sundveien, until you reach the destination. Sølenstua Camp and Cabins is on the left side of the road.

From the south: Follow Rv 25 from Elverum towards Innbygda, where you will take Rv 26 from Jordet in Trysil. Continue along Rv 26 past Engerdal City Center. Turn to the left at Engerdalssetra and follow Fv 623 to Ulvåmoen. Turn to the left on Fv 217, Sundveien, until you reach Sølenstua Camp and Cabins on the left side of the road.
